60 or 62mm filter for Noctilux?

Hello everyone, I'm considering a UV filter for the Noctilux 50/1. The filter size is E60. The Nocti has significant vignetting by default, I want to avoid adding more with a filter. Would you recommend getting a step-up ring and 62mm filter instead?

I don’t have a Noct but I would be very surprised if adding a single standard E60 would vignette.

The vignetting isn’t made worse with the 60mm filter. You can shoot a few frames without a filter to see if it makes any difference.

I have an e58 and an e60 f1 Noctilux. The vignetting wide open is optical, not mechanical. A filter does not make it worse, and a step up ring will only make it harder to use your hood.
