Agnes & Belle. Shot on Kodak Tmax400 with Horseman 970 and hacked Mamiya 80/2.8 TLR lens.
Pretty wild effect towards the edges of that image! 😱

Well after several months I found a GSW 690III and tonight I posted a photo from the first roll of ACROS 100. So for now my first 6x9 photo is on the regular gallery site at RFF. It is a shot of a local land mark in the city of Orange. It's a "drive thru" Liquor Store. I guess I will have to make a dedicated 6x9 gallery site soon. So now I am looking for subjects that fit my new need to shoot. I looked over the images posted and found lots motivation to shoot "slide" film also. All the best.

Great photos, everyone! I tried 6x9 everal times and still have one of my Weltas that does 6x9, but somehow I always have hard time composing in this format. 6x6 is always easier for me for some reason. Any tips on this - looking at these photos here, I really am tempted to break out my larger Welta for a shoot.

Just bought my first 6x9, a Fuji GW690II. I love my Hasselblad and I love my Leica M3, so this Fuji should be Heaven!
Should get it next week and have some pics up by the next weekend.

I would love to get my hands on a 6x9 back for the 4x5 view camera...they rarely come up on ebay and when they do $$$$$...
But then my enlarger only goes to 6x7...oh, wait...contact prints...

My personal project is 6x9cm cutfilm through two vintage Plaubel SLR Makiflexes. It holds like a european Auto Graflex and is quite portable and absolutely wonderful to use. 6x9 Plaubel Makina plates plates fit, and will be developed in a vintage Nikor Miniature Film rack, which fits into standard metal Nikor tanks. I can run twelve 6x9 sheets at a time. Freestyle has 6x9cm Ekfe 25 and Efke 100 so I have loaded up, it's not expensive per box. I can also run 120 through the standard 6x9 Plaubel Makina backs, which are plentiful and precisely fit both of my cameras. Having lots of fun and will post stuff soon. 6x9 is really starting to grow on me.

How about 4 2X5 inches from a loaded double dark holder
How about 4 2X5 inches from a loaded double dark holder
Modify a dark slide with a roughly 2X5 inch hold splitting the 4 inch dimension on a double dark film holder.
compose for 1 half the 4 inch dimension on your GG. Insert the double holder, pull the slide, insert the modified slide to let light through on the composed 2x5 inch side. Then repeat the process for a second image on the other side of the 4X5 film, reversing the modified dark slide.
You get:
1) approximate 6X12 panorama
2) 2 images per sheet of 4X5, 4 per loaded holder.
3) Movements for perspective
4) If you feel the need for centering on the 2X5 image use front rise or fall.
5) the option to modify the dark slide for 2 6X9 per 4X5 sheet.
All for the cost of one modified dark slide.
2X5 inches equal 58mm x 12.7mm (awfully close to 6X12).

ehm, 2" are 5,08 cm, and the active area of a 4x5 film is a bit less than 4x5", but I do agree that it is one possibility how do do panoramas with 4x5. On top of that one may use the vertical displacement to his advantage as a 2" rise or fall movement. But this procedure does involve some care as not to end up with two panoramas on one side of the film.
