Louis, I've seen many pictures of Holly Village...yours is the best yet. 2:1 aspect ratio, time of day, camera position, detail, all well suited.
That Fuji 65mm is a beauty, isn't it? $1200 lens welded to a $200 body.
Thank you so much for the comment. I've only owned the camera for a couple of weeks and after developing the first film I almost immediately thought of Holly Village as a subject worthy of such an exceptional lens.

a question here for the 6x9'ers: any reason why portrait photos can't be captured on a 6x9 medium format film ?
i estimate that the 90mm of the fuji 690 makes it an equivalent of a 35mm lens in 35mm film format.

My GL690 with a 100/3.5 is about a 40mm and close focuses to 1 meter.
Also have a 150/5.6 that becomes like a 60, but the close focus is something like 9 feet. Alright for head and shoulders. This lens kinda works better on a GM670 for portraits.

Actually the 90mm is closer to about a 42mm lens on 35mm.
My first image ever with my GW690 was a portrait of my sister.

Dive,
NCPS charges normal (i.e. not custom) prices for 6x9 scans, correct?
I am waiting for a gw690 in the mail, hopefully I will have something to contribute to this thread. In the normal way, I will blow an entire roll of film on my pets first lol

Yes 6x9s are the same price as other sizes at both PCV & NCPS. NCPS and PCV both do a great job on 6x9s. I have sent the same roll to both as a test and the results were very close. I usually send C-41 and E-6 to PCV and B&W to NCPS becasue of cost.

Good stuff Ruby-Monkey.
This is from my walkabout today. I'm having a blast with this camera. This is Vauxhall Cross Bus Station, next to a very secret building which I can't mention (oh, OK, MI6 headquarters).

It's hard to beat the big image area and sharp lens of the Fuji!

My Mother-In-Law used to manage Ventura Harbor Marina
Guess where I (and my wife) used to spend my vacation during that time of our lives. She lived full time in a two bedroom apartment over looking the Marine.
Sorry, no pics to post from then. Too much time spend sailing the Marina sailboat.
