If you have 100 British Pounds, then you have $128.79 US $$$.
So you already have enough. They will take an offer; they have had it for a while. Offer them $110 US $$$ (or less) and they will prolly take it. 😀


This is the same film Nik N Trik are respooling to 120, see the pix above.^^^ Respooled they are asking 10 Pounds per 120 roll! 🙄

I just got delivery of a roll of Plus-X Aerographic 2402 dated 2010 from Bennini in Italy. I think I will load it into my Plaubel Makinas. I also have 150 feet of this film, if I like it, I will start using it in 70mm🙂


If you want some color, the same seller has ten rolls of this stuff. I got a roll from an aerial company in Florida.

This arrived today in a load of sundry items. Would I be correct in thinking it's a Kindermann 70mm tank and reel? It looks way too long to be for 120/220.

Hello Brett,

Yes it's a Kindermann. I have one myself, they are getting hard to find. Back in the 70's B&H sold them new for $250.

Kodak Aerographic 2424 is the classic HIE infrared emulsion coated on a 70mm Estar base. I shot much of this cut down and respooled to 120 back when David Romano was doing such for resale. It was the perfect infrared film for me. I stopped shooting infrared when his supply of 2424 film ran out.

Hopefully yours has aged well.

I do hope the 70mm Infared HIE film is still usuable after all this time in the freezer. Time will tell.

I did just pick up another 70mm Hasselblad A70, I offered $40 and that price was accepted. So that should give me four perfectly working A70 magazines.

Enough for now. I had the first three checked by a factory Hasselblad technician, who came to a local store, and he said they were all good to go.
 
Just purchased a 150 sonnar, and 200 ft of fuji CDU type II and a 70mm reel - total cost of the 70mm gear £36.

Better reorder my E6 Chems and get an a70
 
As for BW im still waiting for something to come up, ive decided to not get the stuff i talked about earlier as 1968 seems a bit too far for my comfort (and money) however the ebay situation has got a lot worse with the film that i mentioned way up in this thread that was around £150 for 100 ft is now relisted as £499 a roll - I think ill pass.

If anyone can point me towards some slightly newer and still affordable BW stock that would be great. Ive just been paid for an event I shot on friday so im ready to get going

I saw this and this is what drove me to try get it, from reading there will be a cast in C41 but i SHOULD be able to remove it in the darkroom when printing hopefully. Its a slow speed but for the majority of my current uses thats not a problem, should be fun to play with
 
This 150 foot roll of 1989 vintage Plus-X 2402 Aerographic is still available on Ebay. If I wanted it I would offer them $110 (not $130) and see what happens. This is the same film I just got respooled from 120 from Bennini in Italy. Nik N Trik are also selling it in 120 respooled rolls. If it has been stored well, it is a beautiful film for B&W. See Nik N Triks photos above

The seller says "New, continuously cooled, undamaged, cannister unopened." Seems to me like a good bet.
It's 150 feet, not 100 feet, so figure that into your costs.

B&H use to stock this film and brand new it was $149 per roll last I remember.

Thanks! May take me a while to organise some film and a back, but a processing tank is a good start. 70mm backs are still some of the more affordable Hasselblad types, so it's probably a good excuse to begin keeping an eye out for one, I already have the camera body and a few lenses. I lost track of this discussion for a while after the first couple of pages so I'll have to go back and educate myself more about the 70mm format. The thread's certainly got legs, I'm surprised, (but pleased), to see so much interest in 70mm.
