Now that it has been out for a while, are there any issues with lens? Doing some searches does not bring up much. Any portrait photos, especially, would be helpful. Thanks

Desperate but not serious
I've had mine about 2 weeks now. Nothing negative to report.

Its a fine lens. No issues or problems. I could not imagine being with out it and often use it in preference to the slightly longer Tele Elmarit 90mm.

I love mine. Have had it since maybe December. It completely took the place of my 90mm TE and I never bring out the 105mm Nikkor anymore due to its incredible size. There are a few other 75mm 1.8 threads here where a bunch of photos can be seen.
(This last one has exif data that says 35mm but I had it incorrectly coded in the M9. It was taken with the 75mm/1.8)

I just bought one two days ago while in Japan. Love it so far. The build quality is incredible---feels as good as any Leica lens I've ever held (and the store I bought it at had a bunch of Leica glass I could touch...had always wanted to hold a 24mm Summilux).
Just have some test shots so far, and haven't really had time to give them a serious look in LR3. However, the shots with the 75mm f1.8 looked great on the LCD screen on my M9. Given how awful that LCD is, the fact they looked great only bodes well.
I'll post some shots in the next few days after I get home.

Just finished scanning my first roll shot with the 75/1.8 and 21/4. See http://www.flickr.com/photos/drew_saunders/sets/72157626198571734/
I shot with Portra 400NC because I wanted to get rid of those rolls, so the grain isn't the fault of the lenses.
I think this one turned out pretty well:
I focused on the flowers at the left and recomposed. I was shooting mostly at 1.8 to 2.5, this one I think is at about f/2.
I didn't get any portraits of people, just flowers and a park bench.

Desperate but not serious
It's a little long and heavy, but really is a wonderful shooter.

My previous attempts to include images in my posting have failed. I'm trying again, including them as attachments.
All images taken with the 75mm and a M9, no post processing done at all. Just a straight export from LR3.
Shots were taken in a part of Osaka where fashion is believed to be more important than anything.
How do people get their photos into the body of a post in full size? Wouldn't think it would be that hard, but I can't figure out how to do it.

I've had mine about a month. It's an excellent lens and would highly recommend it.
