I must admit, I was a little skeptical about buying a Japanese lens but having read reports on this lens I decided, as I do not use this focal length that much to take the plunge and buy one. I was lucky enough to be speaking to TCC in London the very day they had a mint used one come in. I also ordered the 50mm-75mm screw to M converter at the same time. I have just received the results back from Ilford and I must say that, although it is no match for my 35mm/50mm Summicrons the results are very commendable and I would recommend it to anyone. Optically very good and well engineered

It's also a nice focal length for M cameras. If you are not sure, buy one. It's a great lens. Joe
