Hey RFF! My photos and posts don't seem to be too noticed around here, but I'll post anyway! Hopefully you guys enjoy what you see!
The past month has been extremely exciting for me! Firstly, I shot a wedding... it didn't go too well (just poor communication and lack of space), but I guess it was a learning experience. The lighting was terrible, the chapel was cramped. But I managed to snap a few decent shots!
Then I find out that I won the grand prize in a nation wide photo contest! It was a Jostens (yearbook company) competition. Apparently around 700 people applied! It won me two prints and $1000, split evenly between me and the school (I get a print and $500, school gets a print and $500).
A little bit of sad news... my grandpa passed away two weeks ago as well. It's been a little tough on the family, but we'll get through. Grandpa was always the one who held his family together. He always smiled, even in the toughest of times, and he always wished for the best for us.
Lastly, my anniversary with my girlfriend passed a few days ago... we didn't celebrate because of a silly quarrel, but it only made me realize how much I love her and need her! We got past it, like we always do, and came out stronger than before. She's been a great girlfriend, always caring for me... making sure I eat my veggies, cheering me up when I'm sad (if she finds out I'm crying, she'll call immediately), share my joy when I'm happy. We're not perfect, but I'm looking forward to growing and learning with her. I'm very blessed to have her!
Oh, and I bought a Fuji X100... a little graduation/going away gift for myself. I just graduated out of highschool and I'm headed for Cambridge (Ontario) next year for the Waterloo Architecture program. I didn't think I'd get in (1000+ applicants, 75 spots).
My appologies if I come off as cocky in this post... I've never been one to brag, but I guess I just feel like celebrating :]
Anyway, here are the photos...

PAAAAATRICK!!!
congrats on winning that competition! that's just awesome.
have fun in Uni! architecture sounds really fun- I have a friend doing architecture at Carleton (where I go). apparently it's a LOT of work but I guess you won't find that a problem, as you must have had to work hard to get in. all the first year architecture students over here had to do a photography course... with manual cameras and film. if you have to do the same, you'd probably find it real easy (haha).
anyways,
take care!

My name's Eugene (Lee... so also Asian, haha)... and I live in Ottawa (wasn't that kind of obvious?).
I actually found first year somewhat dull and uninspiring. I'm doing mechanical engineering... first year was alot of background stuff.
second year is prolly going to be a real kick in the pants though. I slacked pretty hard this year... that's going to change. yikes.
anyways.
