I pulled out a box with some negatives from 8-10 years ago and put a few through the Pacific Image XAs. The Kodak Gold 200 profile in Silverfast is punchy, but I like the colors. FS-1 SLR and probably the 50/1.4 if I remember what I had correctly. I know I had a 50/1.4, 50/1.8 (briefly), 40/1.8 and 28/3.5, Konica stuff was/is very cheap.

Almost all the many FS-1 bodies on ebay are being sold “for parts”. Which is a clue for prospective buyers. Yet, I bought one anyway. Two actually, because camera wiki said they were the model which was the “most advanced”. Apparently with regard to the FS-1 “advanced” is used in the same way it’s used to describe cancer. Needless to say, both were DOA. .
The FC-1 on the other hand is still to this day a nice little camera because it lacks all the failure modes aka “features”, which were built into the FS-1. Almost any FC-1 should work, and they’re cheap, nice handling bodies, and for anyone fond of the 40mm focal length, the Konica iteration is one of the best extant.

I'm partial to the FT-1. All of them develop that goo gasket problem, but most can be cleaned and saved. It really has everything you would want in a cheaper manual focus SLR body except for the 1/1000 top speed limitation.

Wow, you have one of the few FS-1s that are still working! :).

I don't own this camera anymore, I sold it a few years back, still in working condition. I did have to fairly regularly go into the battery compartment and clean off the contacts when the power quit working. I got worried about the electronics. I don't miss the body, but I miss the lenses.
