I was browsing around ebay, and I found this gem:
LEICA II Vintage Rangefinder Camera, *Sweden*.

I especially like the fact that A) They have put the leica name everywhere they could think to put it, and B) That it has a f/3.5 Summicron.

Other than the fact that it's a funny fake, it is actually quite a nice looking little camera, if you go for the FSU stuff.

Sweden?? I guess they can't read German.

The three crowns engraved on the camera are the Swedish royal insignia and denote Swedish government property. Genuine three-crown Leicas (the Swedes ordered a couple of small batches for military use) are big-money collectibles.

What I think is ironically funny about the markings on this fake is that the defiantly neutral Swedish government definitely would not have been amused if its cameras had come engraved "Alles für Deutschland" (All for Germany) on the baseplates! The fakers faked themselves out on that one!

At least the sellers clearly label these as "copies." And there's a certain over-the-top charm about them.

That's true. How about the guys who write in their ebay descriptions of done over Zorki's "Someone told me this might be a Russian copy"
