Personally, I prefer the Contax one and its USSR copy for the Kievs, etc.

Got my first two rolls back. Shots look ok but I'm going to send it to Youxin for a CLA. 1000 doesn't work (you can see the shutter in the frame) and 500 didn't at first, but the later shots were ok. At anything about 100 you can see that the right side of the frame is slightly darker than the left. You can see this in the autoservice picture (scans are of the prints with my office's copier). There was also a weird anomaly in the second picture I uploaded. There is a bright spot in the center of the frame. I'm guessing it's a shutter issue as well. I took this shot three times at different speeds and apertures, and it showed up on all three, but only these three. This was the beginning of the first roll then the problem went away though.

I've also got some off topic questions. I took these to get developed at a prolab and along with the negatives I got 4x6s to get a good look at the prints. I noticed the images were cropped from what's shown on the negative. If the image were to extend past the print, there's a 1/4 to 1/2 inch cut off (if that makes sense). Is this typical? I know 4x6 is the same aspect ratio as a 35mm negative, and I'd expect a sliver to be cropped, but not this much. This lab seemed quite expensive ($17 for a 24 exposure roll and 4x6s), though I know the demand isn't there and everything costs more in San Francisco so maybe this is typical these days.

Also think I need to start researching scanners. There's the option of using my dslr and macro lens, but I think that'd require too much precision and time.
