If any of you do decide to go to Claumet the road before it off Oxford Street is Dean Street where the fantastic Med bistro Pierre Victoire is, one of the best & cheapest meals you will buy in this area. Superb set lunch menu is only £8.95 for 2 courses.

Hmm, best of luck with that quest. At the risk of repeating what was posted on another thread about London, the 2 shops you may have the best chance of finding a reasonable M2 are Aperture (www.apertureuk.com) or RedDot (www.reddotcameras.co.uk).

The Ship is a fine pub - old musicians' haunt, where David Bowie and ELP would hang out in their early days. There are many good bars and of course good restaurants in the area - for modern English there's Andrew Edmunds on Lexington St, La Gioconda on Denmark St, good Indian in the form of Palms of Goa (cheap, on the wonderful Georgian Meard St) or the Red Fort (plush and pricey, Dean St) and good Thai etc fast food. But Pierre Victoire is a chain aimed at tourists, about as French as the actors in 'Allo 'Allo.

If you're set on buying Mwclassics has the best prices - open only by appointment, though.

Ah The ship, I've been drinking there on and off for over must be 25+ years now. One of the few traditional London pubs in Soho that have remained true to their traditions. Probably the most eclectic collection of music anywhere too.

Bought my M2 from David @ MW and as per what Paul say's it's appointment only so phone first.

If you are looking for an M2 then Peter Loy just up the road in Holborn has some in stock (5 in fact!!!), again phone first as appointment only. Great chap to deal with and usually quite cheap too!

You do need to go to Silverprint ashfaque, then walk up the road to the Cypriot fish and chip restaraunt (Masters) and have some bloody good grub and cheap but nice red wine.

I just shot around London today(gorgeous weather) and took the R4A and summarit 35mm - 21 would have been useful but 50 would have been to long for my tastes. Happy shootin' whatever you decide on.
