And after all, when you get this corrected how much time (wasted) was used for BS instead of earning a living. There is little respect for a man's time from these on line morons.
Of course he did. But I don't like this attitude.
Of course it sucks to be in such a situation. But the TO is right in the process of getting his money back. Nothing is lost so far. Using the personal little power (like working for a newspaper) is sometimes the right key to a solution.
I see. I see it like this... I've downloaded an album online for free instead of making the files myself from vinyl. I don't feel bad doing it because I did pay for the content already.
So, to sum up so far, you are slagging off PayPal, but it could be PayPal's fault, your banks fault, your credit card companies fault, or NikSoft's fault. There's nothing as good as pointing the finger of blame at the first guy on the scene.

This is why I always use credit cards from reputable banks (insofar as such things exist any more). Credit card companies HATE this sort of thing.

the PAYPAL rep (and I suspect he will regret it) has gone so far as telling me, when asked repeatedly, that it is NOT a PayPal transaction and this they have zero responsibility. Both times I explained to him that I have photographs of the PAYPAL interface for payment on the NIK SOFTWARE site.
John, sorry about your bad experience.

Any one of us is basically irrelevant to the business and the near monopoly created by ebay and Paypal has clearly become very bad for the consumer in more ways than one.
Both paypal and ebay are the biggest crooks in modern computer based companies. Nuff said.
