For all those who gave me advice and helped me along the way, this is for you. I am getting a scanner. I sold a lot of the games that I had wanted to sell, got the boyfriend to let me keep the first half of our joint Super Nintendo games sales, and I'll now have the money for a scanner of my choice up to around $140. It's a big deal for me because it's the first step in finally getting myself out of the rut I've been in.

I've been so blessed because I found this place and I just wanted to say thanks. Without you guys I would have given up photography long ago. I'm so glad I'm here. Enjoying photography again has made me a much happier person.

And actually, I decided against the one on the 'bay and emailed Keh to see if they'd take a mailed money order as payment...no credit card, don't you know. I'll see what they say. 🙂

Steph, I think it's great that you are part of this site! It's good to have differeing perspectives (young/old, male/female, etc) on topics discussed here.

Thanks. 🙂 I'm happy to be on the way to finally being able to share some photos like I want to. Being broke isn't fun...but at least now, even if I am broke, I can still develop and scan photos. 😛

I was always broke when I was your age. Paying Tuition and buying Nikons. I finished School with three Nikon SLR's and seven lenses. Ate Peanut Butter and worked two and three jobs at a time. I still love Peanut Butter.

That latter is a good idea. I watched a minilab operator trying to explain some errors to a customer. YOU would really help customers where most cannot. And then tell them how digital images fade and files get corrupt. Plant the seeds...

Well, the big reason here is that no one knows how to run the machine really at the place in town. You got to see my scans, right? They're horrible. They're cropped completely wrong, they're orange, and there's dust all over them. It's discouraging after we finally get something like this in town to see that the people working there don't even care enough to make sure they're doing things properly.
