A lot of excitement about these, not surprisingly. However, impressive tho' they seem to be I'm not getting excited yet despite my 10 year wait for a digital camera system that does what I want......The A7 models are not 'it', at least not yet. At best these are yet more cost cutting from Sony...first they eliminated the moving mirror, and now the mirror entirely, and the price stays the same as a900 and everybody and their brother wants one!!........Good stunt Sony!
Had the FF model so long waited for been a scale up of NEX models then perhaps I would now be scraping my pennies together, although I doubt it because when all is said, these are still very pricey items and not without their flaws......
Worst of all, these are another 'Sony special'...ie, NOT made by a reputable camera maker but by a consumer electronics empire wit dubious reputation and history......a 'playstation with a lens' to be brutally frank, ...and, in a couple of years they will be worthless for resale if they still work! If they don't work they will be worthless anyway because Sony will adopt it's usual tactics and claim that the parts are so expensive that you should just go out and buy a new one!.......That was their stance with two camcorders I owned, so I'm pretty sure the A7, wonderful tho' it seems is a true 'disposable camera'
EDIT:...My NEX is the only Sony product in my house and will be the only one until something better comes along, then I can change back to a camera hopefully!
I would be interested to hear the counter claims and arguments!
