ok I just found the college booklet from the second time I went (April 2005). Here's the low-down on my trip and which parts I found interesting. WATCH OUT FOR PICKPOCKETS:
Hotel Archimide - FANTASTIC for the cost. Really nice. Well to be honest it was waaay nicer than the hostel first time around. 4 Star.

Colosseum - an obvious choice. Takes ages to get in, and it's very busy. Don't expect any good photo's, but you need to see it to believe its size.
The Forum - only a short walk away. Very nice, once of my favourite locations, as it's usually quiet and a lot of the ruins are still overgrown. If I remember correctly, wander across the forum, and then up the hill on the other side (a LOT of steps) and there are two museums at the top. Really nice area, usually clean since people can't be bothered to walk all the way up. Nice shots looking down from there.
Trevi Fountains (of course). Make sure you visit at night. They look boring in teh day. Flip a coin over your shoulder into the water. It's true that you'll return to Rome!
Sistine Chapel - Vatican City (skipped this one, since I seen it all before).
St Paul's Square. Gotta see it, but only to chill out.
Church of St Peter. Skipped this since the queue took about 2 hours!!! The dome is meant to be magnificent.
Castle St Angelo. Gotta see it, very nice to walk through and see the city from high up.
Trastevere district. Very nice area, good to photograph.
Via Del Corso // Spanish Steps. Nice, shopping region.
hope that gives you something research!!
🙂
