One of the attractions to the micro 4/3rds system is the ability to use a wide variety of legacy lenses. So, knowing there isn't a big selection of digital primes I bought my E-P2 figuring on using my OM lenses. Then I made the mistake of looking at the 4/3rds porn thread and had a major GAS attack and started to aquire other lenses. As the GAS subsided I found my bag filled with way to much glass. Now it's back to basics, sold off some of the Contax, and have a want to trade add to exchange my Super Takumars for a couple OM lenses. All I really need is the 28/2.8 and 50/1.8 MIJ that I have, and the 24/2.8 and 100/2.8 I hope to aquire in trade. If my trade is successful I will only have the OM adapter which should keep me from buying more and more lenses... Other than buying gear, I wish there was a cure or antidote for GAS.... Does anyone else find it difficult to stop constantly buying more gear, even if you don't need it???

I suppose you can minimize GAS by asking, then _honestly_ answering, a few questions:

"Will this piece of cool, shiny hardware improve my photographs?"
"Will it allow me to make images I can't make with current hardware?"
"Is it better than what I now have in a concrete way that makes a difference?"
"Will I ever actually use it?"

Doesn't work for me, might work for you?

The only hope for a cure is to attend the meetings of your local GAS 12 step program. If you don't know where the nearest meetings are, call 1-GAS-beenthere. :D :D

Whenever I get that gas thing going and want it to stop,
I clue my wife into the situation.
Gas stops on the spot. If ya don't have a wife, don't worry about gas...

It would be one thing if I really needed the extra lenses, but I don't.
But I start reading about creamy bokeh, contrast and resolution that will make your eyes bleed, the smooth like butta focus ring, and like a zombie, out comes the magic plastic :D
