Has anyone here ever used adaptor rings on their RFs? I got cameras whose filter sizes range from 35.5 to 55mm, so I got 55mm everything and figured I'd just use adaptor rings for the rest. But now I'm wondering if they would interfere with the viewfinder/rangefinder window, like lens hoods tend to?

That is a possibility, but depends on length of lens and model of camera. Is the lens that requires a 55mm filter for your RF? If so, and if it does not block the viewfinder, and if your other RF lenses are not longer than that lens, there should be no problem. Otherwise, you'll need to check and see.

They're all fixed lens RFs--Oly RC, canonet, yashica and hi matic, plus a P&S digicam. I guess I have no way of knowing without actually buying and trying. Thanks, John.

It seems almost everything interferes with the VF on a RF camera. Some people seem to have a higher tolerance for it than others, so take your worst case which would be a wide-angle like 35 or 28mm (I only have a Canonet so I don't know what the lenses are on your other cams) and put the 55mm filter on it and see if its unacceptable to you.
