I thought Adox went bankrupt decades ago. I've never met anyone who shoots their film at all.
It's only a name. This is generally accurate:
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/ADOX
The current Adox is a brand of Fotoimpex, a German importer and retailer which then became a manufacturer. Irrespective of the discontinuity of the name, they make great products and are, very interestingly, consolidating manufacturing equipment as other manufacturers leave the business.

That's right, Marty.
Just an addition to the linked article: Adox CHS 100 II was not coatet by InovisCoat.
And Adox has bought machinery from the former Agfa plant in Leverkusen (Germany), from Forte, Ilford Switzerland and some others. They've got also know-how and staff from all these companies.
And the coating machine "E" in Marly (former Ilford) is their own, it is not leased (there have been some reports about that in Germany and Switzerland lately).

I tried ADOX MCC 110 and I really love it. The prints look beautiful and they can easily be dried on a classic Büscher print dryer from the fifties. Now try that with Ilford Multigrade FB.
Splitgrade print on ADOX MCC 110.

Silvermax temporary?
Silvermax temporary?
I did not hear any of this..
So you are saying Silvermax was a one off production run??
****....My favorite replacement for Scala is also now off the rails....
Silvermax temporary?
The ADOX CEO has explained several times in detail that Silvermax in 120 is absolutely not possible.
Silvermax has been a limited production run. It cannot be made again. The raw materials for it are gone.
But I assume the new, currently being in its design phase, ISO 100/21° ADOX film will be even a bit better.
And that will be available in all formats: 135, 35mm bulk, 120, all standard sheet sizes and special sheet sizes up to even ULF sizes.
Cheers, Jan

Great news.
I hope Adox continues on this path.
When others fall out the volume I hope goes to Adox and Ilford.

This is very encouraging, we don't hear much about them here, but hope they are successful.
