Affordable Half Case?

Hey all. Im currently saving up some cash to 'pimp my leica' aka new lens, new leather and a nice case. At the moment Im trying to find a nice half case for a leica IIIc and while Luigi's cases are very nice (such craftmanship!) Its a little out of price range. I was hoping for something like a Zhou Case but Ive heard he isnt making them anymore. Does any one know of a affordable priced halfcase?

Did Zhou stop? I have three or four of them and they were very nice, reasonably priced cases. I think Luigi's are ridiculously priced.

really? then you must not have heard about vaja cell phone cases. That's RIDICULOUSLY priced for a tiny phone leather case.
Zhou case is good enough IMHO. He just had a big sale here a couple of days ago.

I think Zhou is still producing, and making small refinements to his cases. I have 2 with #3 on the way.

You could drop him a PM, he's boobo here on RFF (IIRC)

Zhou still making cases, I just got two from him last week. Though to be honest, Luigi case worth every cent, it's an entirely different level.

oh really! that great news, i found a old thread which said he wasn't so that makes my life easier. Does he have a webshop or is it just on his ebay page?

If you have decided to purchase Zhou's case, I'd say best to send him a PM and buy one off him directly. Why fork out money for fleaBay when you don't have to?

I have bought 2 cases from him previously. 2 more coming this week. The guy is a gentleman and has previously bent-over-backwards to keep his customers happy.

Luigi's Leicatime cases are not ridiculously priced - the craftwork is evident in the stitching, cutting and quality of the leather.

However, the Zhou cases are more than adequate and would recommend one if you can't/won't afford the Leicatime cases.

I have to say, a half-case takes away the 'feel' of a Barnack - it's not small any more.

Look into Luxecase, I have 2 Luigi's and this is a nice affordable change. Another guy no one ever mentions here is Kameraleder.
