Pain is scary.
Hey Peeps,
I'll be heading to Albuquerque and then to Santa Monica in Feb next year. Anyone have any suggestions on some good places in town to get some good shooting ops? Mainly interested in local buildings and such. I could also head up to Santa Fe if there is good places to shoot there as well.

It's not quite buildings, but the Sandia tramway is cool. It goes up to the top of the mountain, which is COLD, but it's quite a different view than the city.
You could shoot some street on/around Central, and maybe check out Kurt's Camera Corrall, it's a pretty cool shop. There's some good architecture around too, but I haven't shot there much so I can't say how friendly the security usually is...
Santa Fe is full of southwest styled stuff, so if you like that it might be worth the drive.

Thanks for the info guys! Looks like I'll be taking the trek to Santa Fe.
I've been to the pier at Santa Monica.....didn't have a camera at the time.
I will this time.

When in Santa Monica, please don't shoot or feed the homeless. They are too comfortable as it is and think they are welcomed to stay. Don't be rude or unkind to them... simply ignore them if at all possible.

Try Old Town in Albuquerque

The Old Town area off of Route 66 (Central?) is nice, kind of like Santa Fe without the drive. I second the Pier in Santa Monica. Lots of neat views.
