Am I just unlucky or is this a sign?

So I just recently purchased the Fuji X-E1 with the zoom lens and 35mm from B&H. When I looked at the zoom I noticed something white embedded into the rear glass. I called Fuji, then B&H, and setup a return. Almost 2 weeks later I received my new zoom lens. Guess what...an even bigger piece embedded into the glass. Of course I'll be calling B&H again, but is this a sign? I have been looking at the 14mm, maybe I should just get that instead? What is up with the quality control, Fuji? Anyone else experiencing this?

I got my XP1 and all (then) 3 primes from Amazon. The 18 had a very stiff aperture ring. I called Fuji repair and they suggested that I send it back to Amazon and I told them that I'd prefer a factory fix. Sent the lens to them and they returned another lens with the same problem. I give. I'm just waiting for the resistance to wear down now.

I have had the X-Pro1, 14, 18, 35 and 60 lenses, some used, some new, with never any of the problems you guys mention. I'd say you were just the exceptions. Errol, there is quite a difference between the 14mm and 35mm. I would base my decision on which focal length I needed.

Sad to think Fuji may be slipping in quality control of their product lines, especially the lenses. Imho, they have always made some of the best lenses in the world. They didn't get much credit for that years ago, but now the prices on used Fujis is rather high.
