The anchor principle tends to work very well in Leica-land. You start out looking at a Noctilux and then all of a sudden an 8 element Summicron seems reasonable in price.

This type of thing turns up pretty regularly on ebay. Someone lists a pie-in-the-sky price for some quasi-rare camera and hopes for someone with more money than sense to come around and buy.

Well, I guess you only need one buyer but I wish they wouldn't do it. There's enough people looking at ebay prices and then thinking that's the market price, sold or unsold.
