I wonder how long it's been since Agfa actually made a film
camera. I know they marketed some APS cameras at some point
that were made by someone else and they had their ePhoto digital
cameras. But what was the last real made-by-Agfa film camera?
Does anybody know if Voigtlander had a guarantee like that? My 1950's vintage VITO CL has a nonfunctioning selenium meter. The 50mm f/2.8 COLOR-SKOPAR lens is a gem.
I know that only the name exists today. I was curious about the original guarantee. I have no plans to fix it. It is fun to use, and it's nice to have on the rare occasion I want to use flash fill outside at 1/250 or 1/500. Inside you really need to carry a flash because the slowest speed is 1/15.
It may be the same situation with Agfa. Agfa Gevaert spun off Agfa Photo, which then declared bankruptcy. It may have carried any remaining liabilities for Agfa-branded camera warranties with it. Probably some bankruptcy lawyers would know.
