So I posted here a few weeks ago asking how much better the R2 really is compared to the R. I decided to go with the R, then looked at my budget and my x-mas list for my new wife and decided it would need to wait. 🙂 In the meantime I picked up an Industar-22 with an "oversized rear lens cap" in the guise of an as-is Fed 2 from Kim Coxon. She said it seems to have basic functionality but hasn't been checked out beyond that.

I should have it in my hands by the weekend, will give it a rangefinder adjustment and whatever else as necessary, and hope to post a few pics from my first use of an RF other than my $5 flea-market finds (Argus C3 and Hi-Matic). Wanted to say thanks for everyone who gave input on my Bessa questions, and when I get around to picking up a used R sometime after the holidays I'll share the results.

Hi,
A common mistake in reality but I am a he not a she. 😉

BTW, the rangefinder shoud be OK and it has been given a quick clean and lube. The shutter was hesitanting on the slower speeds. I seem to have cured that but it might come back. The speeds sound about right but might need a small adjustment once it is film tested and the back is a bit stiff. Hence the lens cap. Have fun!

Pardon, please. 🙂

I definitely will. Thanks. 🙂
