"and now for something completeley different, well maybe not quite, but I want to know anyway"
My father has had a leica R4 with a summilux 50mm f1.4, and a 28mm lens -- both lenses from the same generation. I tried 'em out this weekend, and while I didn't really like the body much, the results of the lens were fantastic.
So I'm kind of interested in which leica body to use to fit with the lens?
Reading up on bodies, it seems many agree that the r4 body wasn't that great. A lot of people recommend the older pre-R bodies, but I think those are TOO manual for me. I would like to have manual and aperture priority, at least *shrug*
Of course, I could opt for a newer digital body such as canon, and get a mount for the lens. But that would take me away from doing b&w, which I enjoy (I don't like converting color to b&w, by the way).
Thoughts?
