deuter "Spider" for daily use (with any combination of gear) in the city as I move by bicycle, train, and foot power... If moving by car I might use the Lowepro Compact AW and a tripod bag (only have two tripod bags ;-).

Two A&A 7100 bags, one Crumpler 6 Million Dollar Bag, and one f-stop backpack for use when traveling.

Not very good...
I have 3 in use at present, a lowepro slingshot 303 for the digital kitchen sink approach, a tenba minin messenger for a small digital kit (although this bag is a bit of a tardis and can fit quite a bit of kit in it!) and a new courier ware bag for film kit and day to day use.

Day to day a Timbuk2 bag that was given away at a Ted conference a few years a go, it has a laptop section that will hold 2 cameras and I cam put in a few files or shopping.
Depending on what I take when we go away either a Lowepro Classified 200 if Im taking the Mamiya 645 or a Domke 802 if not. I have a load of worthless bags that came with cameras etc and I have a Tamrac Cyber something that I put my studio heads in.

I am always astonished by those who know the model names for their bags. I know the makers' names, but learning the model names and numbers... wow!

Too many but the most interesting is a Hasselblad Press bag, which I got very cheap off eBay. The most compact way to carry two bodies, four lenses, several magazines and a lot of film. For those who know Doctor Who, it's a first step towards a TARDIS.

ouch... just bought f5xb and f5xz the other day. bought the xz since it can fit ipad on the sleeve, but i think ill need to get it inside, it rainy these day.
the 5xb seems to be perfect for light gear/ every day bag. the ruggedwear just look cool! my m2+summitar collapsed, few rolls of film, oldskool small nokia phone and my thin wallet fit right in
...
and now my wife wanted my xz for her everyday bag.. lol

i think the 5xb would be as close to perfect as i could hope for...if they just took the zipper out and made the mouth a touch bigger...

Hey Joe, I don't really understand why you want a larger mouth/opening on the Domke 5xb. I've never had trouble pulling gear out of that bag and my feeling is that the current opening size helps ward off pickpockets. And that's even more true if you did have the zipper removed. In fact, I like the zipper for extra protection against the sticky fingers of others. Just my $.02 worth of course. But again, why do you want a larger opening?

the think tanks that i have don't have zippers and have nice wide openings...gear is much easier to put in and take out...i think the 5xb is a slightly better size than the tt retro 5...

Having used now a Tenba messenger for more than a month to carry my daily RF gear I'm strictly addicted to the additional concealed top zipper to get my gear fast and quiet in and out. Without touching the main flap.
Who uses another messenger style bag which offers this additional top access? And what is your impression on this detail? (I'm still looking for a second smaller bag, without notebook compartment)

I have but one simple policy regarding bags: Gears that don't fit into my Domke F2, I leave at home. Done.
Having said that, I enjoy reading bag threads like this (someday I just have to look for Joe's name
). But strangely, I never feel the need for another one.

How do you find the size of the Domke? Is it ever too big?
I was considering purchasing the F2 black as my Hadley khaki looks a bit too flashy for some occasions.

I've pretty much settled on using a Billingham Hadley Pro for all occasions. It is a bit tight for my Bronica RF645, but that prevents me from lugging too much around. It's perfect for a rangefinder with a few lenses, and my Pany GF1 when travelling.

Not that I noticed.
You're going the right direction with a black F2 if you want to "blend in" the with crowd.

I love the Tenba Messenger, but it is full of Canon FD equipment now.

bag threads are great.
its always good to see what others organize their gears before shooting.

I have a pile of different Domkes, my oldest going back to when he sold them on word of mouth. However, the bag I like the most is my first generation BBB. I'm considering buying a current BBB-e for my new NEX-7 kit, and possibly a second for my Nikon 1 gear so the Leica doesn't keep getting evicted.
