Striving
Yes - another camera bag thread. We don't get quite the choice where I live that some of you enjoy, and while you can buy anything over the net, there's always postage, and I'd like to give at least some support to local traders. And it's nice to be able to handle the product before you put your money down.
That's especially true for a camera bag for a rangefinder kit, where "just the right size" seems hard to find. I'd love a M-Classic or Billingham, but they are way expensive for me. Today I found what might be the right bag, at a good price (post-Christmas sales - yes!!). It's a Lowepro TX 400. Not too deep from front to back, just big enough for a body with a 35, and enough room left for a 90 and a 50 in their own compartments. There's enough room in the two end pockets for a meter and several rolls of film, and the front pocket has room for a notebook and pen and more film. The top flap is zippered, and flips out away from your body when open. The shape of the bag is such that when the flap is folded open, it stays open, out of the way. OK - it does look like a camera bag, which is a minus, but that isn't too much of an issue for me as I'm usually not trying to disguise the fact I'm taking photos. You can see I've already removed the Lowepro badge from the front flap.
The price was a pretty reasonable AUD$36 (about US$26). Another one to consider! 🙂
