Thank you all for comments. I think, I figured it out.
It is same pattern.
I can't just save and wait for something I really want.
Wanted M film Leica but purchased LTM one instead and bunch of other cameras/lenses.
Sold them after I have enough in total value and purchased M4-2.
Went through dozen of old lenses, before I could get Elmar M 50.
Now I'm on the sale stage to get expensive (to me) 35mm M mount lens.
And I remember how I went through bunch of less expensive lenses before I settled with what I have now for digital.
Buy more to have less 🙂

I think collecting is different from G.A.S.
If collecting it has no motivation for use, but to keep. With G.A.S. it is search for gear to get better. IMO.

I also think my motivation for film G.A.S. was curiosity to see how it works and to see the difference. LF -check, MF -check, SLR -check, Spy camera - check. Instant - check and so on.
It was interesting to try it before it is gone. And it will be gone, the only question how soon.

I'm not sure about other people, but what started me on acquiring classic compact SLRs was to find which one suited me most. On paper they should all work the same way, being pretty much the same and even having similar sizes. But after acquiring a few I realised each one felt and worked slightly differently, affecting you psychologically, which has an effect on the eventual output. The Pentax MX Super, for example, seems similar to the Olympus OM1n, but having tried both I found they worked in slightly different ways and that I preferred neither.

What led me to keep buying Leicas was that each of them seemed to be missing that one last thing -- no meter, no aperture priority, too heavy, and so on. I stopped at the MP because that was Everest and going beyond that was just pointless, to me. Although I do still hope to own a black paint M4 some day. And maybe an M2, too.

Like in the comment above, some part of my G.A.S "buy more to have less" strategy is to be able to tell, what I have tried it and it isn't as good as what I have now. Or I'm keeping it now because this and this was...

For example, where are many comments, opinions from those who went MF and never looked back at 135. I went MF, LF, micro-film and came back to 135.
I don't want Leica because it is fancy, I'm using it because I have tried something else and was coming back to Leica.

I know what I want/need to use because of my own and only trusted experience 🙂

Going MF and LF ain't leaving 135 🙂 It simply increases your film consumption...

Not necessarily. You can buy used and then sell it later for the same price.

Fussing about gear is not that vital, IMO, because we are only here for a rather short while.

What if fussing about gear is what you consider fun?

There certainly is value in experience, and that is very different than chasing the holy grail. 😀
