It has a 3.5 35 mm Summicron ... looks good but the focus is very hard to move, so stiff that I don't want to try. Hopefully a good cleaning will be what it needs.
I also got. f4 90 mm Summicron for it. I got a thread mount unit and an adaptor. Seems to work great.
Next will be a couple of yellow filters for B&W work and lens hoods.
Does anyone know what size filters I need?
Also a little searching on the web tells me that the camera body was built in 1966 (I'm thinking of it as a high school graduation present to myself). Can anyone point me to information on when my lenses were made?
Not wishing to be picky; in Leica-speak "Summicron" means "F/2" unlike ZEISS, where the name refers to the formula of the lens. So your f/3.5 is most likely a Summaron and your 90 f/4 is most likely an Elmar, or Elmarit. Leitz has been thoroughly cavalier over the years with its naming of lenses but those are the most consistent. F/1.4 Summilux f/2 'cron, f3.5 is now Summarit

If it feels physically jammed, don't try this, but when I found my Nikon SP in an antique shop, the lens would barely turn at all. It only cost me $100 complete with a 2.8cm f/3.5 lens, so I picked it up anyway, thinking the worst case would be selling it for parts. From just about an hour of playing with it, it had loosened up to the point that it feels brand new and buttery-smooth now. In my case, it was the focus gearing inside the camera, but sometimes that old oil gets gummed up and just needs some coaxing to come back to life.

I missed this thread before. Welcome to RFF!
Congrats on a great find. Have you had a chance to finish the roll and get it developed? If so, please show photos from it and of the camera as well. I don't have any Leicas, but like many here at RFF, I am something of a gearhead.

I found an old roll of Fuji film and am working my way through it. We have not had much sun lately.
