Oh so RFF is social media? The whole thing is confusing to me. Well if it is, then that is enough for me, too.
This is a forum. Social media is different. Both has potential to be just as bad.

I find photographers are using visuals to express some things; how they see the world, in what ever shape & form each of us believes. Facebook seems to be a place where many of them congregate. I have belonged to our TCPPA Facebook page and found it is an active place, much like here. Others that pertain to photography are interesting.
Toastmasters has quite a large number of Facebook pages. Our club, Westside Speakers as well as our District 6 and Toastmasters International has them.
If you look at sites on Facebook that are specific to what interests you, you may have a better experience than if you just start poking around as where you open up a page may not be what you're looking for.
One gentleman mentioned a Facebook page for Rollieflex and Leica users group and my recommendation is to check them out. All you need to do is go somewhere else if it doesn't suit your needs.
Back in the early 1970's when I started investing in the stock market, I would go visit a broker at his office and the reception area was usually populated by retired folks who were watching the ticker tape and, with a device out were punching in symbols of stock they owned to see how they're doing. I imagine it gave them something to do as they had a lot of time on their hands back then. For them that was their Rangefinder forum! That's all gone. Now we have the www and things can be done where ever you want to. Smart phones allow instant news and checks.
All I'm saying is that things change. You can say no and that's just fine. Doesn't make a whit of difference to me! I do have a Facebook page. It doesn't contain a lot of information and I have 20 friends is all. But I've found people who I knew 40 plus years ago and sometimes it's nice to reacquaint friendships from long ago.
At any rate, it's up to each of us. You can dial in and then dial out. Or you don't have to dial at all. I think a Rangefinder Facebook page could help this place. But then again, those who say no, just don't tune in. Stay here and that's OK.

Select CTL+C then CTL+V and your done. Once you open the gates of hell in to FB and twitter there's only one way to go.

Please, no. Totally subjective, but I enjoy RFF in part because it feels so much more authentic and substantial (for an internet forum ) than facebook, twitter, etc.
