I have two eye-level finders for my 10 Nikon F's (down from 11!). All of my Photomic meters are accurate (no small task). To really make a Nikon F ugly, I put the Selenium meter on the early 64' F. But it comes right off. It is accurate too. I guess it is the engineer in me; I love old electronics that still work.
I sold off my Actions Finder for the F; along with its fitted ACT case. UGLY but Functional. Got half the cost of my last SP for them.
I have thought of doing an Ugly Nikon line-up; maybe with Coffee. The contestants are:
Nikon F with Meter 3 (Selenium Clip-on)
Nikon F Photomic (original Bullseye)
Nikon F2s with DS1 Servo-Motor
Nikon F3AF (The auto-focus version of the F3; mine still works)
It will be UGLY! (My Vote goes to the F3AF, I keep a DE3 on it because the DX1 is so UGLY).
I could have bought a Selenium meter for the SP but I could not stand the look of it.
