Shipped a camera to him and tracking says it was received on the 10th and included a note to let me know when received and didn't hear back.

Emailed him on the 15th and still haven't heard back

Told him it wasn't a rush and if he more important jobs to do them first, but still would like to know that the camera was received

Could be on holidays, but nothing mentioned on site

Thanks

Had Don recalibrate the rangefinder on my M9 just before Thanksgiving. He was very quick to respond and had my camera back to me within 1 week. I have heard of extremely long turnarounds on items, but have so far had a very reasonable experience with Don. Sorry to hear about the troubles, but from my experience, Don is a very well intentioned guy and tries to get back to people as quickly as he can. He told me that he gets hundreds of emails per day, so you can understand his trouble with getting back to people right away. My recommendation would be to email him again if you don't hear anything soon.

best of luck

Try giving him a call, I experienced the same situation when I sent my camera to him 6 months ago. I guess he doesn't reply emails.

Anyway, my experience with him this time has not been pleasant. Told him that I needed the camera for an overseas trip in early January next year, gave him a call last week and another one a few days ago, where he told me that my camera has been ready for a while and is ready to ship out the next day. But until now, I still haven't received any news from him.

Seems like I won't be getting my camera in time for my trip, have to say I am really disappointed.

The last thing I'd do is to tell DAG to take his time or let him have my camera for 6 months. I find that you really have to keep on top of these CLA guys and gals to get a decent turn around time.

If you don't hear from him in about 3 months, given him a call. Still no word, try again in 6 months. If you have other options, especially for routine stuff, use them. However, there are certain things that only he can/will do.

My condolences...

I did call before the camera was sent in, but long busy signals, so didn't bother again.

It just need a small repair and not a CLA and not in a rush, so time isn't major.

Just needs a new lens mounting ring and meter adjustment, so not a big job

It was just that I wanted to be emailed that the camera was properly received and in his hands.

Could be my last email got caught up in a spam filter, but worked before

Will email again after the weekend using my alternat email address

Thanks
