I use 2-13 screen in OM4ti, and it's owesome. I would love to have one in my OM1 as well - does anybody here use 2-13 screen in OM1? Can it be fitted, phisycally, and how it would affect metering?

I have one in my OM-4Ti - it's okay, I expected it to be better.

The Minolta XD SLR I was using before had a brighter view

minolta screens were always state-of-the-art - Hasselblad accute-mate screens I believe were produced by minolta, and independent bright-screen makers never produced their screens for minolta cameras since they could not improve minolta screens in any significant way.

sleepyhead, this winter I was twice to København, lovely city even in the winter.
Many places to hang out after work, I especially liked Tango Y Vinos ;)

I use 2-13 screens in all my OM-4T bodies. I simply cannot get good focus in low light with the standard 1-13 screen, its just too dim. I get perfect results in very dim light using the 2-13. They're rare and expensive and worth it.

I use a 2-4 screen in my OM-2n. It's actually too bright, it flares and loses contrast too easily and is hard to see when the object is in focus. I'm replacing it with a 1-4N screen, which is the best (in my opinion) of the 1 series screens, and best screen available for the OM-1/2. The 2-4 will go in my OM-2S.

2-4 and 2-13 can be used in OM-1 through 2N. You have to shave off half the tab (on the short side) to get it to fit. It will cause a 2/3rd stop meter error causing underexposure. A slight error (1/4 to 1/2 stop) creeps in with wide angle and telephoto lenses. John

I have one OM4Ti with 2-13 and one OM4 with the standard 1-13.

I find the 1-13 bright enough for most applications, and when focussing on the matte surface, the image just pops in focus.
The 2-13 is even brighter, but when using the matte area, it is less obvious when the image is in focus.
Therefore I prefer the 1-13 for daylight use.
