Anyone bought Luigi's Gray Case for Leica M?

I am considering to get one from Luigi. The price is unresistant. But I would like to hear from you.

Should I get this one or pay some more to buy LUigi's standard leather case?

Hello. I have both the gray case and the "standard" black leather cases in front of me to help you decide. Here we go:

thickness: standard is thicker, a bit more "loft"
finish: standard has more texture and more shine
smell: standard has a distinct strong smell of leather, gray has a very faint smell of leather
engraving: bottom of the standard has more engraving, including a crest of sorts
inside: gray comes with a red inside, very nice color combination

Me? I have both because I had an original one and then heard about the gray one and liked the price. No regrets, both are nice (gray looks terrific on a black camera). You may do the same...

OK, hope this helps. Bottom line: you get what you pay for.

I guess I will try to get the grey one. At the price even include a strap. can hardly resist.

I am also considering the beautiful case for M5. Maybe I should get one for my m5 later......

Well, here is how it will likely go: you'll get the gray one, love the color, like the look on the M4-P. But then you'll be cirious about the more expensive one and will just HAVE to have the more luxurious one on the M5, and hopefully you will. And you'll like both. I did the opposite: got the more expensive one first, then heard about the less expensive and uniquely-colored gray case, and got that. Same ending, different paths. All smiles all around. Be well, shoot a lot.

Oh by the way, I am a big DAG fan. What's he doing on your M3? He modified one of my M3s to accept the Leicavit...very cool. He is a gem and we are lucky to have him.

Nod. Different path but same ending....

My M3 is in DAG for RF clean, take up mechanism lubricate and shuttle adjustment. It's quite close to a complete overhaul.

I am expecting the m3 return to its best after the CLA.
