Knowing how this group likes to do various projects such as one camera/one lens, I'm just curious if anyone has tried or is doing the Solo Photo Book Month project. I didn't do it last year, but am kinda intrigued at the idea. Some of the PDFs produced of 2008 material are pretty good.

Just wondering if anyone else is having a go.

More details are here: http://www.sofobomo.org/2009/

With your eye Todd you'd probably have one of the better portfolios out there! You should try it if something comes to mind..

I started laying out the book using Blurb's Booksmart software. For the SoFoBoMo upload I made screenshots from Booksmart then combined them into a pdf with Acrobat.

You could also just layout a standard page in Photoshop using guides for placement, and creating new layers for additional pages with different pages. Photoshop can also generate pdfs.

I'm doing it this year - albeit not very well. I shot in about 2 hours an dneed to put together this weekend. I'm hoping to use open office, which will output files as pdf's I think.

The theme is the back yard and includes pictures by my 7 year old also.
