Anyone know what a Canon 0,95 hood + case is actually worth?

I was told by a Canon 7 'expert' that these hoods were really sought-after, and COULD fetch up to $500, but searching as much as I can, I haven't been able to find any evidence for this sort of figure. Can't really ask him where he got his information, as I don't really know him personally.

Decided to sell the one that came with my 0,95 on the forum at the moment, but no-one else seems to have any clue what these are really worth, either. Anyone know where I can find out?

And is eb@y maybe a better location for such a specialized item?

Actually finally found a couple of references - incl one on this forum - and they apparently were going around $350-450 a few years ago. Impossible to say what condition those were, as I can't get to see any actual past sales.

Sorry if posting this questions was somehow bad forum etiquette - I really had no idea how to price the shade.
 
I have seen a couples on the bay last year. If I remember correctly, seller asking around $130 for a mint one with original case but no body even touch it include me. On the other hand, the price for Canon 50/1.2 LTM shade can price up to $500 in the past. Hope this help.

OK - so am I getting this as$-backward? The 1.2 shade is the valuable one? Really not trying anything on here - it's just really difficult to get any real information on it, as a total Canon outsider. I never tend to use shades, so I just threw it in a drawer, until I had a chance discussion with this Canon enthusiast at a camera auction here in Stockholm.
 
For what it's worth, there are two 50/0.95 hoods currently listed at Kevin's Cameras. They're going for about $500.00.

Thanks Jim! Kevincameras does tend to price on the high side, but always have lovely stuff. I'd forgotten them in this case. They should work on improving their google searchability.

Looks like the filters are also worth around $50-75 - at least in the Kevincamera world...

I'll update the ad one more time and see how it goes before going to the dreaded auction site.
