They are cute little cameras in a limited way, but whoever figured out the way to con the naifs and sell them for $300+ is a marketing genius.

I had one a long time ago and it actually was my stepping stone into street photography. I eventually got tired of the lack of control but for what it is, it's a nice little camera. I've got some shots I took with it that I really like.
Not really worth the price they go for now, but it's a cool little camera. If they were still $100 new from non-Russian sellers, I might buy one.
Of course you can do the same thing with any of the Olympus XA's for a lot less money but the metal Russian Lomo has a little something special over the XA, it's just not worth the money.

Agree 100%, I've got mine as a present, full kit with flash/books/aditional lenses, they should ask before buying it, more or less same priced as a cosina new lens! ... I use it a lot intermitently (hard to explain)
