Yes but $5000 goes a long way towards staples: food, liquor, women. (I just had to 😀)
I have the M9 to film conversion already:
Sell M9 and use the M4 and M4-P I already own. Just not pursue a career in any type of journalism.
This brutal slap in the face after using up almost all my GI Bill then being stonewalled with the prospect of chronic unemployment just has me miffed about wasting the time and money on a degree. I still have a few options though but not in the media really.

Phil,
I'm glad I got a good stable day job. BTW I have an art degree, a masters in TV Broadcast Journalism and Screenwriting, and a MFA in Creative Writing. Never used any of my college education to make any money. Also struggled all my life in the arts, and yet I remain just a guy with a ponytail.
Although I somehow became the Asian stereotype, with the high tech job working in physics labs, this is not who I am. Only got the job because I'm a rather experienced performance artist, and I wrote a good cover letter, also learned to bypass personel to get the interview/audition.
Anyways if you are an artist expect to struggle your whole life. One of the best times of my life was going to art school, but I was broke, had no money, and knew what it was like to struggle.
Anyways this moment of artistic despair happens to everyone; it will pass, but the passion and the struggle will continue.
BTW I still shoot only film, but was thinking of either getting a M9 or even a M10, but this would require selling much of my gear to pay for it. I would still shoot B&W film and digital I would consider a new and different medium. I'll update my signature, perhaps we could swing a deal that could be trade and cash.
