So in talking with Joe and another friend Steve the inclines start turning into hills around Aspen and in Rockland the hills become serious. I only made it to Ten-A-Fly I figure kinda below Aspen.
So making it to Bear Mountain and back, about 43 miles each way would be a rather tough guy workout, especially on a single speed. So first would be a geared bike, and perhaps on a single speed might never happen.
Either seems a bit crazy and "Crazy is good," I say.
So speaking of tough guy, did anyone watch the game Saturday, Toronto against the Bruins? Imagine a big guy from Toronto skating at 35-45 MPH trying to snap his stick across an opponents face against the boards. Five minute penalty/power play for trying to kill an opponent.
Pretty much the ref's lost control of the game and pretty much things went too far. Pretty much went into "Gladiator Mode."
So this reminds me of at work. It is reported that my friend Greg got fired because he was involved in a fist fight at work with his boss. Kinda similar to the hockey game in that Human Resources lost control and things went too far.
Policy is when ever violence happens both parties get fired regardless even if in self defense.
So I saw Greg a few weeks ago. Evidently he got another job at another hospital nearby.
So somehow I have become a hockey fan. One of my co-workers is a Canadian from Toronto (a girl), and one day she tells me that, "If I don't get out of work by five, I'm going to punch XXXX (her boss) in the face." Pretty much she is ready to go into "Hockey Mode" and I tell her don't do it. LOL.
Kinda funny when I see the TV commercials advertising how great the hospitals where we work are. Not at all like the TV shows where everyone are friends and having sex with each other. If these are the best, I can't imagine the worst. LOL.
Next week "Maggie" flys to L.A. for basically an audition for some show episode.
