Are the Zeiss lenses after 2010 better made than earlier ones?

It is all in the title...
I am thinking about a NEW ZM 21mm f/2.8 Biogon in few months... I may consider the f/4.5 over the CV 21/4P

Or should get a new (slower CV 21/4P) I would like the f/2.8 personalty for inside fast film shooting.

The Leitz is to much $$ used. Plus I need a later model with a modified mount to keep the M5 meter cell down.

I've got the f4.5 Biogon 21mm and love that lens. In one of the named columnists area on this site there is a review of the f4.5 that gives you the technical side.

I owned two different silver Biogon-C 35/2,8, one bought back, oh, in late 2008 I think, that I kept until I sold off a bunch of stuff when getting my M9 in 2009.

After I sold it, I missed it and bought another about six months back. No difference as far as I can tell. Both have been excellent, no problems.

I am manly concerned with wobble...
I have a perfect ZM 50mm f/1.5, But, the thread about ZM wobble seems to still have some steam...

Not sure the ZM 21/4.5 or 21/2.8 is a problem lens... I think the talk is high, and the % is low though.

I Love My ZM 50/1.5... Beautiful rendering for Film and totally different for m4/3... but Beautiful with both.

well, I've had a ZI, ZM 35mm F2, and ZM 50mm F2 since about 2008, and love my gear. The only thing I had to do is replace the camera covering with that griptac stuff from cameraleather.com. The lenses have been wonderful, and I love them. Now thinking of getting the ZM 25mm F2.8 before a trip to Peru.

Well, my experience is with two C-Biogon 35/2,8, one Planar 50/2, the Tele-Tessar 85/4, the Biogon 28/2,8, and Biogon 25/2,8, and I have never experienced the so-called wobble nor have I ever seen it firsthand in any of the ZM lenses I have crossed paths with.

Unfortunately I am limited to positive experiences with ZM lenses regardless of date of manufacture.

Hmmmm..got a 50 Planar, a 35 Biogon & a 21mm Biogon, all bought in 2006, and as far as I can tell, nothing wrong with their build quality. All fine lenses, and I really like the 21mm....

Amos, post a photo of your ZI with griptac. Love to see it.
