California (Bay Area, Northern) Aug. Bay Area meet-up?

Well don't hold your breath for "pub" photos from me. I shot three rolls, two b&w, one which I processed (several of which I've posted in the gallery), one in the camera still, and one roll of color (not processed). I didn't take a single shot of another RFFer. Besides, my Mac went down hard this morning (parts on order), so it may be a while.

Martin (photodog) posted a few too (one a pub photo!) in his gallery.

Martin lead us around and Rich spotted some nice light through an open door. It turned out to be a bakery. Several of us walked in and started clicking away. I'm interested in seeing the different results. Here's one of mine:

Nice shot, Ray. I added my comments to it directly. Thanks for posting it. And sorry to hear about your computer problems.

Nice one Ray. The light in that room was amazing and you captured it nicely.

I haven't had the time to develop the roll that I used for that room. Hopefully this weekend I'll get it done and scanned. I also have a few others that I need to scan which were at the Academy.

thanks! that was shot with the CV 28/3.5. I didn't feel right in trying to get closer, especially since it wasn't a public area. John, were you shooting with a 50/1.4?

:)

I have the 35mm ASPH f2 and was shooting with Tmax 400. I initially thought I had tri-x in my camera at the time but oh well. I can't wait to process that roll.

I'm in a coffee shop with inet access in Trail, B.C. at the moment. I'm impatient to get my film processed, but won't be home until next Wed. evening.
There's a major forest fire going on a little too close for comfort here; Trail is fairly smoky at the moment. I almost hate to do it, but I may have to try for a few shots today. Will post from home as soon as I get the film back.

Thanks to those who have posted some of their shots. And I'm looking forward to seeing yours, Guy. Safe travels to you, particularly with that forest fire nearby.

I got a few to post. Will do so this weekend.

Including the the photo I got on the way there of the infamous crotching woman who just had to get her shot!

LOL! Oh yes, your telling of that incident was one of the day's highlights, Rich! :p The story was plenty funny, but I'll have a peek at the photo ;)

.

I've been slowed down a bit. Damned radiation kicked my butt this week. I have developed my first roll, but haven't scanned them yet. I won't be able to get anything scanned and posted until early next week.

I have enjoyed the shots that have been posted so far. I also look forward to the infamous crotch shot.

Was great to meet new RFF friends and see some familiar faces as well.

Looking forward to seeing your shots, Robert. And best to you in dealing with the radiation. Perhaps we can have another gathering soon after you've recovered a bit of your energy?

Oh well, I tried three different times to upload photos to an album here and keep getting a message that I exceeded my daily upload even though I have not uploaded a photo into an album here for a long time. I tried 5 photos, then 3, then one. Same message every time....

JimG, great photos.

Thank you John. I have another roll coming Wed. I'm hoping there will be something worth posting there. I'm starting to focus more on people then other subjects so this has been an important learning experience for me.

rich815, I can't figure that out, I thought there was someone that had six in one day but I can't find it. I got caught on that one time, and I figured they use a 24 hour clock. So you could not upload more that five in a 24 hours period.

JimG, please post the second roll's best.

Well, just tried again for the third time. This time with just one image. It seemed to upload and went into some kind of staging area and my other ones I was trying to upload a few days ago were there! So I hit Process, and now the album shows "no thumbnail" photos and the images are not showing up.

I give up. This is ridiculous.
