A question for experienced Retina IIIC users. I managed to pick up a wide angle and telephoto lense for my Retina IIIc camera, but I couldn't find the aux rangefinder that fits into the flash shoe. Is this something I really need and where the best source to try and locate one?

the RF is the same as the one built in - there is a conversion scale on the lens.
The aux viewfinder is handy though - but I don't know where you'd find one apart from the lenses.

The aux. VIEWfinder is well worth the money. They are available often on ebay for not too much money. Do your homework using "completed auctions" to get a sense of what a good deal is... or isn't.

Thanks for the advice, I'll keep my eyes open on Ebay. I used to have a Retina IIIc camera back in the 80's and used the 35 and 80mm lenses without the aux view finder and took some of the most remarkable pictures with them. In a moment of weakness I sold it.
