I'm currently in the process of applying for American University in Washington DC, who has a semester-long study abroad in Prague, Czech Republic, that has a concentration in photography. The program is film-based (slr or rangefinder recommended) and will involve intensive photography education both in the classroom and out in the city. The program has a large darkroom and photo lab (much like my Michigan colleges' 30-enlarger black and white darkroom).

I plan on keeping the semester simple and taking just my Nikon F4 and a Contax G2, with three lenses for the F4 system and one lens for the G2. I might take my Nikon D700 with me (digital is not incorporated into the program but bringing it is fine).

How is Prague when it comes to the availability of film and darkroom enlarging paper? Or conversely, is it easy enough for a student to order it and have it shipped to a dorm in the city, from, say, BHphoto?

You'll love Prague - one of the few large EU cities to have survived WWI intact.
