LeicaFoReVer, yes, I have two of his books of incredible photos, one autographed. I have been fortunate enough to photograph him with my IIIf and Elmar 50/3.5 Col. LTM, a fifty four year old camera and seventy six year old lens:

That's a really good portrait. Is it his photo hanging on the wall by chance?

Personally I found Buyukada to be quite touristy on my visit there earlier in May. Horse carriages keep going up the street one after another. But then it was Sunday, oh well. Perhaps there's some other street worth wandering, e.g. I don't recognize the location of street market in the last Jan's photo. The island makes a good day trip from Istanbul nevertheless. I will probably visit Heybeli next time.

Yes, it is one of his photos, all the walls have large prints from his books and are changed regularly. Seeing him there is a hit or miss kind of thing.

So here they come, atlar ve inekler Büyukadada ;)

For me, thats the most surrealistic thing I've seen in İstanbul.

My web gallery dont have "go back" button cause it was too complicated to combine it with Simpleviewer, and browser have back button so I gave up.

Richard you are so lucky!
He is a great artist with interesting personality. People say he is a bit arrogant, well I can not blame him.

I heard that he says "give me a washing machine I can take nice photos with it" :) He tries to say, the camera is not important for him but his artistic abilities...
