^ I agree, the train makes it.
The alley is cool. For some reason, I like alleys better than streets lol.

^those are nice. I think they'd look better as slightly larger scans, but my screen resolution is kinda high.

Wow, ywenz very nice photos.
Maybe you can help me with these two. I really like both but don't know which to choose. Because I am used to old buildings like the one in the background a focus on the modern art might be a nice change to what I normally do. But on the other hand I like the Information written on the building about its history (though quite boring with no oof areas). Comments please...
(btw both are unedited low quality preview jpgs. just resized and lower quality settings applied)

Hi Michael,
I like the one the oof in the background, it adds some mistery, a kind of "fifties horror movie" feel to the photo that's great for me.

Shot from my living room in downtown Kansas City..
Bessa R2A, Nokton 50/1.5, HP5+, and an $8 tripod (new!) from a computer store. IIRC, f/11 @ 8 seconds.
Nice shots, guys!

f/stopblues-
Nice shot. Crazy how much light snow can reflect - it's almost as if it is a light source in and of itself.
nico-
who's that guy? What's he up to? I don't trust him... lol. Cool shot. There isn't a lot there, but I find myself trying to figure out what those poles are for, what that round building is. Funny that a shot that at first looks so "empty" is so captivating. I guess that is what composition is supposed to do for a photo...

@ 40oz: he's my friend Emmanuel; he's walking all around the building as a tourist. I do not trust him too
Out of jokes, it's a windmill on the atlantic portuguese cost, the sails are hanged at the poles when the wind blows making the mill work. Anyway, I guess it's not the composition but the night that makes things looks different. That's why I love nights
.
Thanks for your comment,

Hi Michael! I'm with Nico. I like the one with the out of focus background. It just adds more mystery for me, which is very welcome. I like the general mood of either one, but the OOF one is my preference!
