After selling my M6, MP and M8.2 about a year ago and only shooting my Nikon D3, I bought a M6 Wetzler Classic today with a 40mm Summicron lens and an Epson V700 scanner. I just couldn't stay away. I missed shooting film. I missed the size of the Classic M cameras. I missed the rangefinder. I missed it all. When I opened the box and pulled out the M6 it was like coming home. What a great tool. I can't wait to get out and shoot it now.

I am already looking for some additional space at my offices for a darkroom. I got my first roll of negatives back and I am really pleased with the scans. I could not be happier.

Tell me about it. I dearly miss my M6. Haven't taken a single pic in 2-3 weeks!!

Similar experience last year. Had sold the last of my film bodies only to miss a film M badly enough I ended up buying one.
It's too much fun shooting film with an M, it just is.
Icarus, welcome to RFF, by the way.

Welcome, Icarus. How's the flight?
Missing all about shooting film, now that's a concept.

Good choice. I also use the V700 for 35mm. Cant complain.

Good for you. I am waiting on a darkroom timer from B&H and will restart my b&w printing. Have fun.
