After extensive use, my Billingham Fibrenyte bag looks and smells like a pig. What is the best way of cleaning it? Thanks for your feedback. Peter

a clean cloth and some warm water is my usual process...sometimes with a tide pen for something stubborn.

nobody special
When my camera bags get too dirty, I simply throw them in the washing machine with cold water on the gentle cycle. But I do not seem to have the emotional relationship with my camera bags that some here do.

I would hand-wash it in the sink with some soap and a brush. But I know what you are up to: you were hoping that we would all say that you need to immediately buy a new bag! Don't fool us!

Dear Bob,
I agree completely.
The drier on low restores their full luster and a dryer sheet takes care of the dog hair.

I have considered the washing machine option but the Billingham has leather straps etc... and I am afraid the washing machine treatment will ruin the leather.

How do you get bags to get so dirty and smelly? My bags have never been cleaned, but they look good and they smell good (to my senses).

Come to think of it, use Odoban. It is a great product that we have been using for years in our home.

what?
For internals, maybe a powder carpet cleaner that you would brush in, let it sit, then vacuum it out?
I too machine wash (cold) my canvas Domkes. They get kind of crumpled, but it adds character I say.
