Bag Cleaning

When my camera bags get too dirty, I simply throw them in the washing machine with cold water on the gentle cycle. But I do not seem to have the emotional relationship with my camera bags that some here do.

I would hand-wash it in the sink with some soap and a brush. But I know what you are up to: you were hoping that we would all say that you need to immediately buy a new bag! Don't fool us! 😀

Dear Bob,

I agree completely.

The drier on low restores their full luster and a dryer sheet takes care of the dog hair.

Regards,

Tim Murphy 🙂

How do you get bags to get so dirty and smelly? My bags have never been cleaned, but they look good and they smell good (to my senses).

Buy some "snow Seal" or other quality waterproofing for winter boots. Apply to leather. Check REI Outfitters.

Wash the canvas with a fairly stiff brush + laundry soap.

With any cleaning, best to do less aggressively and more often.

Fabreeze to inside.
