Was carrying my M7 in a jacket pocket and it collided with my SLR on a black rapid shoulder strap. The M7 was turned off, and the collision mashed the shutter release down all the way against its will.

The camera seems to work ok but the shutter release is now intermittently stiff/sticky. I think the speeds are fine, but it just doesn't always feel right. Definitely not the way it was.

So I would like to have it looked at and repaired if necessary. I'm not the original owner of the camera but it had seen very little use when I bought it; it was essentially new when I bought it last May. I wrote to 'repair@leicacamerausa.com' but it's been several days with no response (I have registered the camera serial number at the Leica web site).

Does anyone know where I could send the camera in the Portland Oregon area? I know Leica is opening a store in Seattle on the 2nd, do they handle repairs or CLAs?

Thanks and happy new year to all!
John

Advance Camera in Raleigh Hills. Since your problem seem to be mechanical and not any electronic goblins. They do good work and thier prices are reasonable. Try them first but if you need to send it to Leica there is a form through the main website.
