Batch function in CS3 is missing in action..help!!?

Hi folks

I'm hoping some PS genius out there in cyberville can help me - for some inexplicable reason, the 'Batch' function in my PS CS3 software no longer operates (File - automate - Batch...). The actual command is now greyed out in the drop-down menu and is totally non-operational. I've tried closing the program & re-opening..no good - I've also tried shutting down the computer a few times and re-booting, all to no avail. Anyone got any ideas?? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

One thing springs to mind. Can you still use the tools - photoshop - batch

From Bridge?

Thanks for that link Tedwin - I'll have a look at it & will see what happens in CS3 bridge.
